I tried many other different types of face washes before, all which dried my skin after one use. Sticking to natural products is my preference for the very reason that they’re cruelty free.
Recently, I went to T.J. Maxx to look for some stuff and found a good face wash by Earth Science naturals.
Fragrance Free| pH 5.0 | Paraben Free | Cruelty Free | Vegan | Gluten Free
I’m very cautious about ingredients. So I have a habit of reading them before purchasing the product.
Ingredients : Aqua, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycerin, Panthenol, Peg-150 Distearate, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Fruit Extract, Ascorbic Acid, Betula Alba (Birch) Bark Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Extract, Macrocystis Pyrifera (Kelp) Extract, Citrus Grandis (Grapefruit) Seed Extract, Zinc Sulfate, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Phenoxyethanol.
The one ingredient that had me questioning was SLSA (Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate.) I figured it was another term for SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate), which is known to be a damaging chemical that causes skin irritation and other health issues.
Contrary to SLS, SLSA is known to be a much milder, natural cleanser that dissolves quicker with water.
As stated on their website: Completely unscented, this mild foaming cleanser gently removes oil and other residues while oil-free moisturizers keep skin soft, never dry. Aloe vera and extracts of cucumber, sea kelp, birch bark and lavender refresh the skin. Unscented.
While I continue to use this, the softness feeling of it makes me want to use it over and over….
