Keratin a no-no!🦏

Many consumers might have not been aware about keratin products and it’s origin.

According to Savetherhino.org  Rhino horns are made of keratin – a rhinoceros horn is chemically complex and contains large quantities of sulfur-containing amino acids, particularly cysteine, but also tyrosine, histidine, lysine, and arginine, and the salts calcium carbonate and calcium phosphate.

World Wildlife Fund (WWF) stated that there are two species of rhino critically endangered in Asia—Javan and Sumatran. A subspecies of the Javan rhino was declared extinct in Vietnam in 2011.

Rhinos are targeted for their horns and sold in black markets where they can be used for medicine, hair products, nail products, and such.

Many salons offer keratin treatment at a pricey rate. The price to stop the use of keratin products is priceless. Make the right choice in choosing products without keratin. Save the rhinos.
